Money, money, money

They say money makes the world go around, not sure if that's true, but it certainly greases the wheels. I have spent most of the past couple of week’s job hunting and trying to sort out my financial life. I have been off work 9 months now and although the rest and going out and about taking photographs has been good for me, it has been traumatic on my bank balance.

I think I have everything sorted now, I start a new job at the beginning of August and I think I am ready to step out of my comfort zone and back into the real world. I will go armed with my camera, so I can hide behind the lens if I need to.

I know that I have been hiding behind my camera. I have been watching the world rather than participating. This is a side effect of the depression. On the other hand the feed back from my photographs has helped rebuild my confidence. So thank you all for your continued support. I hope to find the balance between what I have to do and what I want to do, creating images we all enjoy on my path back to well being.

Research, shot, share

Over the past two weeks I have spent a huge amount of time, out in the sunshine taking photographs and then, many evenings editing, sharing and promoting my images. I have been doing a lot of research in to pushing my photographs to a larger audience. I have been entering competitions and reading blogs and ezines for ideas.

I have also had my first wedding shot, which was a huge fun. I loved every minute of it and I got some great photographs, which I hope the bride and groom will like as much as I do. And then my daughter had her prom...what an array of beautiful young ladies and handsome young men to photograph.

So I have had quite a bit of fun, I learnt alot, I have a nice sun tan and a huge amount of very colourful and rather nice photographs to show for it.

Thank you for your support
